MAUREEN EVANS

Maureen Evans (she/they) grew up in Northern Canada. I resolved to writing my way out young, and have worked widely ever since — launching cookbook EAT TWEET in NYC and literary startup POETICA in London, writing poetry collection FATE & KNIVES in Belfast and publishing poems from it worldwide — my voice remaining rooted in the north: wild and humane. I live in unceded Wiwēqay̓i and K’ómoks territory, where I’m building a timber home, but often venture into Lenni-Lenape territory; and am everywhere always making poetry, food and art.
